Another day, another boss fight. Jecht wasn't thrilled that Cefca had come along, but it was just Yunalesca. With all of them -- including him in his aeon form -- it wasn't like the bitch stood a chance.
After, they made camp on the Calm Lands. Braska still had Sin to fight and Yu Yevon to defeat, but that was a battle for another day. Jecht settled into camp with almost brutal efficiency, filling his own roll to compensate for Braska and Auron's loss. By the time night fell, he had a tent up for the two of them, set a bit away from the others. It wasn't easy being here. As glad as he was to see Braska, to help Braska, he'd had to leave his Spira behind. This was a hard reminder of what he'd lost. So, while the others restocked at the waystation, he climbed to the highest point of the ridge, sitting and staring out at Gagazet.

Jecht wandered off; after a few minutes, Cefca followed. He said nothing, tried to keep his presence to a minimum so that Jecht could think - but there was the grind of steel boots against rock, and his breath, and the sudden silence of the animals around him. Cefca cleaned his mace of hair and blood and kept watch for more wild animals.

Jecht half-turned, looking around for the blond. He knew Cefca was there somewhere. He'd heard the animals go quiet.
Cefca didn't have to sneak around. He didn't see Cefca and remember that in this world, he was nothing more than a dream and ghost. Catching sight of the young man, he shrugged, turning back to the cliff.
